Pune Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr Suspends Senior Police Inspector, 6 Others For Negligence

Pune, 29th June 2023: Following a gang’s rampage and vehicle vandalism within the Sahkarnagar police station jurisdiction, Pune Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr has taken decisive action by suspending seven officers and policemen, including Senior Police Inspector Savalaram Salgaonkar of Sahkarnagar Police. The suspension is a result of their failure to address four crimes adequately.
The suspended personnel include Crime Inspector Manoj Shendge, Assistant Police Inspector Sameer Shende, Sub-Inspector Hasan Mulani, Sub-Inspector Maruti Waghmare, Police Constable Sandeep Patkule, and Police Constable Vinayak Jambhale. The order also emphasizes the enforcement of terms and conditions of the suspension.

According to the suspension order, the cops did not take adequate action when the trouble was reported by two groups, which resulted in major incidents like vandalism.
