Pune Police Cracks Down On E-Cigarettes And Tobacco Products Sold Near Schools And Colleges

Pune, 7th January 2023: The officials from Crime Branch unit 2 of Pune city police seized e-cigarettes and tobacco products worth Rs 10.52 lakh which was being sold near schools and colleges.

As per the direction of the senior officials, Police Inspector Krantikumar Patil formed a team that took action against nine Paan tapri/shopkeepers.  The action was taken in the jurisdictions of the Bharati Vidyapeeth, Lashkar and Koregaon Park police stations.

The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (crime) Amol Zende, ACP Gajanan Tompe and Inspector Krantikumar Patil. The team included API Vishal Mohite and police personnel Vinod Chavan, Sanjay Jadhav, Mohsin Sheikh, Gajanan Sonune, Ujwal Mokashi, Sameer Patel, Kadir Sheikh, Nikhil Jadhav, Sadhana Tamhane, Reshma Ukrande and Nagnath Rakh.
