Pune Police Detain DJ MBA For Visa Rule Violation, He Performed At Pubs In Koregaon Park And Amanora Town

Pune, 18th December 2021: The officials from Pune city police have detained DJ MBA for allegedly violating visa rules. He had overstayed for the last three years.
Acting on a tip-off from the Military Intelligence (MI) and a central agency, Pune Police detained DJ MBA alias Mohammed Awal Braimah, a citizen of Ghana.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Branch II & Foreigners Registration Office) Bhagyashri Navatake has issued an order to detain him at Kondhwa police station from December 16 till further orders.
“He is most likely to be deported”, an official said.
According to police, Braimah had taken admission at a university in the Gultekdi area but did not attend classes. He had been performing as a disc jockey (DJ) along with his Iraqi partner, who is also under the scanner, at various events.
“We are investigating if they are involved in any illegal activity”, the official added.
