Pune Police Expose Prostitution Ring Operating as Massage Parlour in Kharadi

Pune, 17th December 2024: The Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Crime Branch has uncovered a case of prostitution being conducted under the guise of a massage parlour. The police have registered a case against the manager of the parlour for luring young women into prostitution by offering them money. The manager who filed the complaint is Lokesh Rajkumar Puri, a 23-year-old resident of Kharadi.

Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Chhaya Jadhav of the Crime Branch’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) filed the complaint at the Kharadi Police Station. According to the police, the AHTU received information about prostitution being carried out in a massage parlour located in a building in the Rajaram Patil Nagar area of Kharadi. AHTU then raided the premises, and several young women were taken into custody.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused, Puri, lured young women into prostitution by promising them money under the pretence of operating a massage parlour. Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan is overseeing the investigation.

Citizens had previously complained to the Pune City Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar about the illicit activities taking place under the guise of a massage parlour in Pune. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has ordered action against the establishment.
