Pune Police File Charge Sheet in Kalyani Nagar Porsche Case, Accusing Two of Evidence Tampering
Pune, 16th November 2024: The Pune Police have filed a 242-page charge sheet in court against Aditya Avinash Sood (52, resident of Ghorpadi) and Ashish Satish Mittal (37, resident of Viman Nagar) in the Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident. The two are accused of tampering with the blood sample of the minor involved in the accident and destroying evidence. Statements from 17 witnesses have been recorded and included in the charge sheet.
The incident occurred on 19th May, leading to the deaths of two young IT engineers in a collision caused by a speeding car in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area. The minor son of builder Vishal Agarwal, who was driving the vehicle, was detained by the police. It was revealed that the minor, along with two friends in the car, had consumed alcohol and was taken to Sassoon General Hospital for a medical examination. However, their blood samples were later altered.
The investigation revealed that builder Vishal Agarwal, his wife Shivani, Arun Kumar Singh, Dr. Ajay Taware, and Dr. Shrihari Halanore (from Sassoon Hospital), along with Aditya Sood and Ashish Mittal, were involved in tampering with the blood samples. A case was registered against them.
The Supreme Court recently rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Arun Kumar Singh, who went into hiding after the incident. Singh later surrendered to the police. Aditya Sood and Ashish Mittal were arrested after evidence confirmed their involvement in the tampering of blood samples.
