Kondhwa, 31st May 2025: In preparation for the upcoming Bakri Eid festival, a coordination meeting was held by the Pune City Police Zone 5 with religious and civic stakeholders to ensure smooth celebrations and address logistical challenges.

The meeting took place on 30 May between 4:30 PM and 5:30 PM and was attended by Maulanas, Trustees, Qureshis, municipal officers, Pune Cantonment officials, and slaughterhouse staff from across Zone 5, which includes areas under Hadapsar and Wanwadi police divisions.

“Clear instructions as per government and senior police directives were shared with the religious leaders and trustees,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Rajkumar Shinde, who led the interaction. “We aim to maintain harmony and ensure all celebrations are conducted lawfully and respectfully.”

Also present at the meeting were Assistant Commissioners of Police from Hadapsar and Wanwadi divisions, Senior Police Inspectors from nine police stations, civic officials, and around 70–80 local stakeholders.

Police appealed to the community leaders to spread awareness among the public and cooperate with the authorities for a peaceful and organized celebration.
