Pune police hospital to get Rs 21 lakhs govt funds

Pune – The district guardian Minister Girish Bapat on Wednesday announced that the Pune Police hospital will get Rs 21 lakh from the funds of district planning committee.
He was speaking at the inauguration of donation of medical equipments and furniture to the hospital by Mukul Madhav foundation and Finolex pipes at Shivajinagar police head quarters.
Bapat said, “there is need of smart policing in the city. Instead of just increasing the number of police personnel, we need police officials who are fit mentally and physically to handle the city’s law and order efficiently. Therefore there is need of good hospitals for city policemen.”
Dr Shrirang Limaye will be helping the police officials in running various operations of the hospital.
Police Commissioner Rashmi Shukla said that the hospital was in a bad condition and needed renovation.
