Pune: Police Inspector, Assistant Police Inspector, Head Constable Of Kamshet Police Station Caught Taking Bribe

Kamshet, 6th March 2021: The sleuths from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Pune unit, have arrested the Police Inspector, Assistant Police Inspector and a Head Constable of Kamshet police station under Pune rural police for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh.

According to ACB, a 30-year-old man has lodged a complaint against them. The complainant’s maternal uncle is an accused in a cheating case. The accused had demanded a Rs 2.5 lakh bribe to help in getting bail. Later the amount was negotiated to Rs two lakh. Today, the accused was caught while accepting Rs one lakh.

After getting a complaint, ACB laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe. The arrested persons have been identified as Police Inspector Arvind Daulat Chaudhary (50), Assistant Police Inspector Prafulla Prabhakar Kadam (33) and Head Constable Mahesh Vinayak Daundkar (39).

The trap action was taken under the guidance of Superintendent of Police (ACB Pune Range) Rajesh Bansode, Additional Superintendent of Police Suraj Gurav, Suhas Nadgauda and Deputy Superintendent Seema Mehendale.

The team included Police Inspectors Alka Sarag, Sunil Kshirsagar and Sunil Bille and police personnel Vaibhav Girigosavi, Ratesh Tharkar, Ganesh Bhapkar, Kiran Chimte, Abhijit Raut, Pandurang Mali.
