Pune, 28th March 2026: The Alankar Police Station has arrested a 38-year-old Bangladeshi national accused of committing more than 50 housebreakings across various Indian states. The arrest followed a high-tech chase that spanned multiple cities, eventually leading police to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
The investigation began following a burglary at an office named “The Territory” in Karve Nagar, Pune, between the night of March 14 and the evening of March 15, 2026. Additionally, authorities found a Bangladeshi passport and a variety of foreign currencies, including US Dollars, Chinese Yuan, Malaysian Ringgit, Singapore Dollars, Canadian Dollars, and Nepalese Rupees.
