Pune Police Organize Blood Donation Camp As Part Of Road Safety Week 2021

Pune, January 23, 2021: As part of the Road Safety Week 2021, a Blood Donation Camp was organized from January 21 to January 23 in collaboration with Pune City Police Traffic Branch and Regional Blood Bank of Sassoon Hospital and Pune Police Hospital.

Today was the last day of the blood donation camp. Commissioner of Police Amitabh Gupta, Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Shiswe, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Shrirame, Dr Sudeshna Gajbiye, Dr Anuja, Dr Neha Raghav, Dr Deepali and Dr Raut were present on the occasion.

In this blood donation camp, Commissioner of Police Gupta, Jt CP Shiswe along with two Police Inspectors, five Assistant Police Inspectors and 116 staff from the Traffic Branch donated 127 bottles of blood.

In the closing speech of the blood donation camp, Commissioner of Police Gupta said that in the current situation, there is a shortage of blood and this blood donation drive will help those in need.

DCP (Traffic) Rahul Shrirame said that many people get injured and even die in accidents. The injured need blood, as part of the road safety campaign we organised this blood donation camp.
