Pune Police Raids Hotel And Bars Playing Loud Music In Kalyani Nagar
Pune, 29th December 2022: The Social Security Cell of the Pune Police Crime Branch took action against Xapa Bar & Grill Hotel, and Highland Hotel, Kalyani Nagar, for playing loud music. A sound system and DJ mixer worth Rs three lakh were seized.
After getting complaints, a team inspected the hotels and found that loud music was being played. Accordingly, action was taken against the concerned hotel, and the sound system was seized. Action has been taken for violation of Rule 5 of the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Act, 2000, under the Environment Protection Act 1986, and the seized material (sound system) has been handed over to Yerwada Police Station.
The action was taken under the guidance of DCP (Crime) Amol Zende by a team comprising Senior Police Inspector Vijay Kumbhar, Assistant Police Inspector Ashwini Patil, Assistant Police Inspector Aniket Pote and Anna Mane, Manisha Pukale, Tushar Bhivarkar, Imran Nadaf, and Pushpendra Chavan.
