Pune Police Recovers Rs 25,000 Fine From Driver For Violating Rules for 2 Years

Pune, December 14, 2020: Police have recovered a lump sum fine of Rs 27,200 from a driver for violating traffic rules. The action was taken by the traffic police at Bhairobanala Chowk in Wanwadi. The vehicle is registered under a woman who belongs a well-to-do family in Mumbai.
The vehicle, which was plying from Mumbai to Pune, had been fined online for the past two years for violating uncontrolled speed limits and no parking rules. Traffic police inspector Sunil Bhosale said that the amount was increasing as the driver did not pay the fine on time.
The vehicle was stopped during the ongoing operation at Bhairobanala Chowk. Meanwhile, when the police checked the vehicle number on the mobile app, they found that the amount of fine on the vehicle was huge. According to Sunil Bhosale, a team of Sub-Inspector of Police Rajeshwar Singh Rajput, Constable Jyotiba Kurule, Shipai Dnyaneshwar Gaikwad and Babasaheb Jagtap recovered the fine.
