Pune: Police Recovers Rs 3.1 Crore Fine From People For Not Wearing Masks

Pune, September 26, 2020: Despite the increasing number of Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) infections in the city, many citizens are not wearing masks. The Pune city police have taken action against 65,000 citizens and around Rs 3.1 crore fine has been recovered.

Police had taken action against 5,205 people from September 2 to September 4 who did not wear a mask and 28,000 people till September 10 while recovering a fine of Rs 1.4 crore. From September 11 to September 22 police took action against another 37,558 people. Hence, till September 22, a total of 65,000 people were fined and Rs 3.1 crore recovered from citizens for not wearing a face mask.
