Pune Police Return Stolen Valuables Worth Rs 5.31 Crore To Rightful Owners

Pune, 5th June 2023: The investigation teams working under various police stations of Pune Police have achieved a significant milestone by recovering stolen money amounting to Rs 5.31 crores from thieves involved in serious crimes such as burglary, theft, and looting. This recovered amount has now been returned to 58 rightful owners, bringing smiles to their faces and providing a sense of justice.

In a special ceremony held at Police Headquarters in Shivajinagar, Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil personally handed over the compensation to 58 complainants. The event was attended by esteemed officials including Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, and several other dignitaries from the police department.

Speaking at the event, Guardian Minister Patil emphasized the positive impact such actions have on society, fostering trust between citizens and the police force. Minister Patil also stressed the importance of holding criminals accountable and acknowledged the challenges faced by the police in investigating crimes with limited resources.

Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr acknowledged the challenging nature of recovering stolen money from criminals and commended the tireless efforts of the officers and staff of various police stations in Pune.
