Pune policeman saves life of a 65-year-old man

Pune, May 21, 2020: A man was found lying near Saswad Road, Pune. A localite called the police around noon and informed about the man being beside the road. After which, a beat marshal was assigned by the control room, and he immediately went to the spot.

When enquired, the 65-year-old man, who was ill and starving, said that he was from Samadhan Colony, Nagpur. The policeman called an ambulance from 108 to take the sick person to the hospital, but he had left without taking any treatment.

Following which, policeman B Kumbhar provided water and food to the person and inquired about his relatives. The marshal further looked for his family, and he was able to contact his son and daughter, who also came to help. The elderly man’s life was saved by the efforts taken by the police personnel, as no one approached him because of the fear of Coronavirus.
