Pune: Political Rivals Come Together For Diwali ‘Faral’ At Wadeshwar Katta

Pune, 3rd November 2021: Political allegations are leveled in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) throughout the year, but on the occasion of Diwali, office bearers from different political parties came together at Wadeshwar Katta leaving aside political disputes.

Pune is famous as the home of learning and the cultural capital of Maharashtra. In this city with a bright tradition, a few days ago, many personal allegations were being leveled outside the PMC hall.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesperson Ankush Kakade and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar decided to bring together all party leaders to preserve the political culture of Pune. Congress group leader Aba Bagul, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) city president Vasant More along with Dr Satish Desai, Shrikant Shirole, Gopal Chintal and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

NCP’s Kakade said that the culture of Pune should not be divided even if there is a difference of opinion.

Mayor Murlidhar Mohol and Prashant Jagtap greeted each other while Aba Bagul and Ganesh Bidkar also hugged each other and wished happy Diwali.
