Pune Porsche Crash: Police Move to Cancel Vishal Agarwal’s Bail Over Viral Celebration Video
Pune, 19th June 2026: Fresh legal trouble appears to be looming for builder Vishal Agarwal, the father of the juvenile accused in Pune’s high-profile Porsche crash case. Pune Police are preparing to seek the cancellation of his bail following the circulation of a viral social media video allegedly showing him celebrating after being granted relief by the Supreme Court.
According to senior police officials, the Supreme Court had granted bail to Agarwal subject to specific conditions. One of the key conditions required him to ensure that the families of the two young victims who died in the crash would not face any form of mental or physical distress.
However, after his release on bail, a video surfaced on social media purportedly showing Agarwal celebrating in a room. Police claim that the video was uploaded as his WhatsApp status. Investigators have recorded statements from two individuals who said they viewed the status.
Based on these statements, Pune Police plan to argue before the court that Agarwal violated the conditions of his bail. Officials said a petition seeking cancellation of his bail will be filed in the sessions court on June 23.
Police contend that even if the video itself was recorded earlier, posting it on WhatsApp after securing bail could have hurt the sentiments of the families of the deceased and caused them mental distress.
Meanwhile, Agarwal’s legal team has maintained that the viral video dates back to 2023 and has no connection with any celebration following the grant of bail. The defence has denied allegations that the video was intended to cause distress or violate any bail conditions.
The Porsche crash case, which drew nationwide attention, involves allegations that a minor driving a luxury sports car while allegedly under the influence of alcohol fatally knocked down two IT professionals in Pune in May 2024.
