Pune: Private Company Employee Booked For Stealing Data And Launching Own Firm
Chinchwad,1st December 2023: In a span of four years, from October 23, 2018, to October 14, 2022, a significant corporate fraud unfolded at Advent Company in Chinchwad MIDC.
The accused, Akash Ramesh Limbachia (31) from Punawale, allegedly stole the company’s data, confidential information, and details about special-purpose machines. Subsequently, he shared this pilfered information with another company, where he manufactured and sold products under the banner of his own company, R&D Technologies. The fraudulent activities resulted in a financial loss of Rs 48 lakhs for Advent Company.
The case came to light when a woman filed a complaint at the Pimpri police station, leading to the registration of a fraud case against Akash Ramesh Limbachia.
According to the police, the accused was an employee at Advent Company while simultaneously establishing his venture, R&D Technologies. During his tenure at Advent, he allegedly stole valuable company data, including confidential information, press tools, and details of special-purpose machines designed for business customer inquiries. This stolen information was then shared with another company.
Subsequently, the accused utilized this data to manufacture product material, which he sold under the name of his own company, R&D Technologies.
Throughout this illicit operation, the accused conducted a business valued at Rs 48 lakhs, all while receiving a salary of Rs 40 lakhs.
Further investigations are underway.
