Verun claims 12 wickets at “PYC Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy” Under-19 Cricket
Pune, November 30, 2023: Slow left-arm orthodox Verun Chaudri claimed 12 wickets (5-18 & 7-31) in two innings and registered an unbeaten 44 runs to help hosts PYC Hindu Gymkhana win by innings and 38 runs against Stars Cricket Clun in their league encounter at the fifth edition of the “PYC-Goldfieldd Late Raju Bhalekar Trophy” Under-19 Two Day Cricket Tournament organized by the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played on Virag Cricket Ground Wadki
In the first innings Star CC scored just 104 runs after Verun Chaudri claimed 5 wicket for just 18 runs , PYC Gymkhana then aided by an Opening partnership of 71 runs in 129 balls between Sushant Abhang(65runs) and Sayyed Sufyan 64runs) and 4th wicket partnership 54 runs in 32 balls of Verun Chaudri( 44 no) and Nikhil Lunawat(40runs) put on 266 runs for loss of four wickets taking 162 runs lead.
In the second innings Verun Chaudri ran through the Star CC batting line up taking 7 wickets for just 31 runs and bundling the team out for 124 runs and Taking his team PYC Gymkhana to an innings and 38 runs win
