Pune, 16th January 2023: Over 200 members of Wagholi’s Ivy Estate society staged a protest against a builder who cheated the society out of an access road. For the past eight years, the residents have been putting their lives at risk due to inaccessible roads.

The residents said that stated that the construction of the roads in their area is in poor condition, resulting in numerous accidents, and that it is difficult for people to reach other locations.

According to them, more than 50 residents submitted a written complaint to the Lonikand police station demanding action against Kolte Patil Developers Ltd, for cheating the residents. During the sale of the flats, the residents claimed that the builder had shown them this road as a DP road. However, the aforementioned plot is in litigation due to which it has not surfaced for the last many years.

In addition, the residents stated improper access roads have made the lives of over 600 families of Ivy Estate and other societies around this area miserable. Due to an unsafe road, 25,000 residents have been suffering each day. Since this is the only road that leads to the Ivy Estate society and the other 15 societies, residents are calling for a proper access road.

A resident had complained about the builder at the police station in Lonikand. Later, the letters to the officials were written by more than fifty people. Additionally, the people call for a good road and ask the police to do something about the problem.

Officials at the Lonikand Police Station are investigating the matter.
