Pune: Registration Deadline Extended Till February 10 for MPEd and MEd CET 2026 Admissions
Pune, 21st January 2026: Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Physical Education (MPEd) and Master of Education (MEd) programmes for the 2026–27 academic year have been granted additional time to apply, as the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has extended the registration deadline to February 10, 2026.
The online application process for both postgraduate entrance examinations commenced on January 5 and was initially scheduled to close on January 20. As per data shared by the CET Cell, 1,038 candidates have registered for the MPEd CET so far, while 1,234 applicants have enrolled for the MEd CET.
According to the examination calendar, the MPEd CET will be conducted on March 24, 2026, with the mandatory field test scheduled for the following day. The MEd CET examination will be held on March 25, 2026.
The CET Cell has made the application forms, detailed admission schedule, and information brochure available on its official website. Aspirants have been advised to complete the registration process well in advance of the revised deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
Officials clarified that Aadhaar-based APAAR ID and UDID are compulsory for registration. Candidates who have not yet generated their APAAR ID have been instructed to complete the process through the DigiLocker platform before submitting their applications.
Providing context on previous years, the CET Cell noted that a total of 6,193 candidates had registered for the MPEd and MEd entrance examinations last year. Over the past three academic cycles, MPEd registrations stood at 2,088 in 2023–24, 2,686 in 2024–25, and 2,384 in 2025–26, while MEd registrations were recorded at 3,066, 2,985, and 3,809, respectively.
