Pune: Residents Near NIBM Road Raise Water Crisis with Deputy CM Ajit Pawar

Kondhwa, 14th September 2025: The Anandvan Parisar Residents Foundation, representing housing societies in the Anandvan Parisar area near NIBM Road Annexe, met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday, September 13, at the office of the Pune Municipal Commissioner to highlight the long-pending water pipeline issue.

Residents described the meeting as “productive,” noting that their grievances received a positive response and assurances of resolution.

Ajit Pawar not only heard the concerns but also directed Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, IAS, to take immediate action. “We will resolve the problem, and I have asked the PMC to act without delay,” Pawar reportedly told the delegation.

PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram listened to the residents’ demands, took detailed notes, and assured them that necessary steps would be initiated at the earliest.

Local MLA Chetan Tupe was also present during the meeting and expressed his continued support. He assured residents that he would personally follow up with the authorities to ensure progress on the matter.

Following the discussions, residents expressed optimism.

A representative of the Anandvan Parisar Residents Foundation said, “Our concerns were heard, understood, and acknowledged. We have been given assurances that the issue will be resolved, which gives us hope that the water pipeline problem will finally be addressed.”
