Pune: Rising Cases Of Vandalism Creating Atmosphere of Terror in Bibwewadi and Sahakarnagar

Pune, 30th May 2022: There is an atmosphere of terror in the Bibwewadi and Sahakarnagar. Groups of miscreants are spreading hate and terrors among the citizens in these areas. One such incident of hate took place on Saturday midnight.

A 41-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at Bibwewadi police station under Pune city police. Police have arrested Vikas Bhagwan Gaikwad (22), resident of Hadapsar, and Laxman Ganesh Shinde (20) of Shivtejnagar. Police are on a hunt for their peers.

According to the police, Vikas Gaikwad and Laxman Shinde are both criminals on police records and have been booked in the past. The complainant’s brother Arun Hanumant Pol is the driver. He lives in Bibwewadi. However, the mob approached him in the middle of the night and beat him for no reason. They tried to kill him by stabbing him in the head with a scythe. Also, all the parked vehicles of the common people were vandalized to create panic. Five to six vehicles were vandalized, police said.

The sudden commotion in the middle of the night had created a scary atmosphere in the area. Police have registered a case and arrested the two. Bibwewadi police are conducting further investigations.

The second type of vandalism took place this morning within the limits of Sahakarnagar Police Station. The gang has vandalized vehicles at two different places here. The vehicles were vandalized in Chavannagar and Padmavati areas. The case was not registered till evening. Even the police station did not know exactly how many vehicles were broken and what exactly happened.
