Pune: Rs 1.10 Crore Scam Uncovered in Pimpri Chinchwad, Promising 15% Returns on Investment
Dighi, 12th March 2025: A significant financial scam has been exposed in Dighi, where individuals were lured into investing in the WFX Training Institute with promises of a 15% return. The scam, which occurred between December 2022 and August 2023, resulted in a total loss of Rs 1.10 crore for the victims.
A complaint was filed on 11th March at the Dighi Police Station, leading to charges being filed against Sachin Kolte, his wife, and father Avinashrao Kolte.
According to police, the accused convinced a woman to invest Rs 80 lakh in the company, initially providing her with returns of Rs 9.29 lakh over six months. However, when she demanded her remaining investment and returns, they failed to deliver.
It is also alleged that the accused similarly deceived other individuals, accumulating a total of Rs 1,10,50,000. The accused have since abandoned their home, and the Dighi Police are currently investigating the case.
