Pune: Rs 157 Crore Budget Sanctioned For Saswad Municipality

Saswad, 7th March 2023: The budget of the Saswad municipal council for the financial year 2023-24 has been approved. There is no tax increase in the budget. The general budget meeting was held recently under the chairmanship of Sub Divisional Officer Pramod Gaikwad. Chief Officer of Saswad Municipality Nikhil More and the Head of Municipal Accounts were present.

In this budget, the balance of the previous year is Rs 4.11 crore and the expected deposit is Rs 157 crore. Revenue expenditure and capital expenditure are expected to total Rs 161 crores. A budget of Rs 30 lakh has been approved considering the previous balance and expected deposits as well as expected expenditure.

Nikhil More, Chief Officer of Saswad Municipality, informed that in this budget, Rs 50 crore is expected for the water supply scheme, and Rs 30 crore is expected for the underground sewerage scheme.

Along with this, Rs 15 crore was sanctioned for Suvarna Jayanti Mahabhiyan, Rs one crore for innovation scheme grant, Annabhau Sathe urban slum improvement scheme Rs two crore, Dalit slum water supply scheme Rs 20 lakh, a road fund of Rs 70 lakh, Swachh Maharashtra Mission Rs seven crore, non-Dalit slum improvement grant Rs two crore, Rs four crore for a special grant, special grants Rs three crore, pilgrimage development grants Rs one crore, non-conventional energy grants Rs 1.6 crore, special road grants Rs six crore, minority scheme grants Rs 20 lakh, Rs 3.5 crore for 15th Finance Commission, MP Development Fund Rs 50 Lakh, and MLA Development Fund Rs 50 Lakh.
