Pune: Rs 29 Lakh Fraud With Lure Of Investment In Business; Case Registered Against Couple
Pune, 30th September 2022: Bharti Vidyapeeth police arrested a person for cheating on Rs 29 lakhs with the lure of business investment.
The arrested person has been identified as Aniket Arvind Karnik (39). Kundlik Pandurang Sontakke (44), a resident of Katraj has filed a complaint at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station.
A case has been registered against Karnik’s wife Vinita Amit Karnik alias Vinita Jagatram Joshi (40). Four months ago, Amish had shown Sontakke that Karnik would get good returns if he invested money in a private company. An amount of Rs 29 lakhs were taken from Sontakke for this investment but no refund was given to Sontakke after payment.
Sontakke asked about the refund then Karnik started giving questioning answers. After realising the fraud, Sontakke filed a complaint at Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station. Aniket Karnik has been arrested and the court ordered him to be kept in police custody.
