Pune: Rs 43 Lakh Seized By Investigation Team Of Election Commission At Chinchwad
Chinchwad, 10th February 2023: An investigation team of the Election Department seized an amount of Rs 43 lakh at the Dalvinagar check post in Chinchwad today. In the wake of the Chinchwad Assembly by-election, strict security has been kept in the Chinchwad area. The said action was taken while inspecting four-wheelers.
In Chinchwad, around 10.30 am, one man was seen carrying cash worth Rs 43 lakh from a four-wheeler at the check post. The investigation team of the Election Commission is probing who and where such a huge amount was going. The concerned driver is a professional and was going to pay this amount to the bank for his medical business. But the officials have said that further action will be taken after investigating this.
