Pune: Salesman Accused of Stealing Gold Chains Worth Rs 1.15 Crore From Jeweller Shop

Pune, 4th November 2023: A salesman employed at a jeweller shop in Raviwar Peth has allegedly decamped with gold chains with a total value of Rs 1 crore 15 lakhs. An FIR has been registered at the Faraskhana Police Station.

The accused has been identified as Vikram Amritlal Bafna, hailing from Girgaon in Mumbai. The complaint was lodged by Jitendra Dhanraj Songara, a businessman residing in Market Yard, Pune.

Songara primarily deals in jewellery, supplying to local goldsmiths in the city. Vikram, who had been employed as a salesman at Sonigra’s establishment, was entrusted with a substantial consignment of 245 gold chains valued at an impressive Rs 1.5 crore 42 thousand.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Vikram allegedly absconded with the entire consignment.
