Pune: Sambhaji Bhide And 150 Others Booked For Holding Rally Without Permission

Pune 5th August 2023: The Pune City Police have booked Hindutva leader Sambhaji Bhide and 150 others for organising a rally without permission in the outskirts of Pune. A case in this regard has been registered at Loni Kand Police Station on Sunday, said officials.

According to the police, the rally was organised Manjri Kolwadi area on Pune-Ahmednagar road on Saturday. The organised had applied for permission with the local police but the permission was denied. However, the hindutva leaders and his followers decided to hold a rally despite permission being rejected after which the police took suo moto action in the matter and lodged a case at Loni Kand Police Station.

It may be noted that Sambhaji Bhide, the founder of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan organisation and he had come to Pune to attend an event in the city. Several organisations had objected to the program citing his controversial statements delivered in the past. Several organisations even held a protest in the city to urge police to not let the event happen in Pune.
