Pimpri-Chinchwad, June 19, 2025: The arrival of the Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Ashadhi Wari Palkhi in Pimpri-Chinchwad was marked by devotion and a strong emphasis on cleanliness and environmental sustainability. As the palkhi procession entered the city amidst chants and steady rain, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner Shekhar Singh led the civic reception at Bhakti-Shakti Chowk, joined by municipal officials, public representatives, and a large gathering of citizens.

This year, PCMC prioritized sanitation and eco-friendly measures for the Wari. Dindi leaders were honored with cloth bags, first aid kits, information booklets, and native tree seeds. The corporation organized tree plantation drives and promoted a plastic-free, green Wari. Arrangements included ample drinking water, toilets, and bathing facilities along the palkhi route and at halting points, with dedicated coordinators ensuring maintenance and cleanliness.
