Pune: Sassoon General Hospital To Ensure In-House Facilities, Prescribe Available Medicines – New Dean Dr Thakur
Pune, 17th January 2023: Dr Sanjiv Thakur, the new Dean of BJ Government Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital, has promised to ensure that starting now, patients admitted to the hospital will not be given outside prescriptions and that all medications and surgical equipment will be given in-house, regardless of whether the patient is a part of any scheme or not. Dr Thakur took charge as the new dean at Sassoon General Hospital last week.
Speaking to journalists, Dr Thakur stated that he has also given instructions to senior Doctors and heads of various departments to make sure they check every serious patient in their ward during their daily rounds at 5 pm and that they also report to the dean about their treatment.
Along with enhancing the current facilities, Dr Thakur also wishes to add new ones. For example, gynec-onco, gynac-cosmetology, IVF, vascular, bariatric, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and proctology surgery systems, and robotic surgeries.
