Pune: Sassoon Hospital Gets Machine To Roll Out Over 3,000 Roti In 3 Hours

Pune, 13th June 2022: Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Public Ganpati Trust has donated a modern automatic roti maker machine to the kitchen of Sassoon Hospital to avoid human interference. Therefore, providing free meals to 1296 patients of Sassoon Hospital both times will be easy and fast.

In memory of Rajaram Ambaji Marathe and Sumati Rajaram Marathe, a roti maker machine has been provided on the initiative of Satish Marathe. The superintendent of Sassoon Hospital, Dr. Vinayak Kale, Trust’s Sunil Rasne, Mahesh Suryavanshi, Akshay Godse, Amol Kedari, Dr. Harish Tatia, Dr. Usha Nikumbh, Chief Dietitian Swati Barekar, Chaitali Shimple were present on this occasion.
Dr. Vinayak Kale said that with the help of machines, human intervention is being reduced. The trust’s initiative has already provided two such devices.
Mahesh Suryavanshi, Treasurer, Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust informed that “Having a roti with the help of machine helps in maintaining cleanliness. Also the quality of the food is great. The project is being implemented under the Trust’s Jai Ganesh Rugnaseva Abhiyan and food, tea and breakfast are provided. A total of 24 cooks and assistants are working for this. The project has been running continuously since 2013 and thousands of patients have benefited from the meal.”
