Pune: Schoolboy Attacked By Minors For Posting Photos On Instagram

Pune, 30th May 2022: In the Wadgaon Budruk area, a group of minors attacked a schoolboy with a scythe and tried to kill him in anger. Reportedly, the victim used to upload a lot of statuses on the social media platform Instagram.

A group of minors did not like this and attacked the victim and reportedly tried to kill him. Instead of just attacking, they tried to create panic in the area by showing off their weapons.

The 16-year-old boy has lodged a complaint at Sinhagad Road Police Station under Pune police.

Police have arrested three 17-year-olds and are searching for their accomplices. According to the information given by the police, the complainant is studying in class X in Ambegaon. He posts two to three photos a day on Instagram. Some of the minors living in the area were angry over the daily posting of photos of him with others on Instagram.

Reportedly, the complainant had gone to withdraw money at an ATM in Ghulenagar on May 29. At that moment, a group of four to five minors approached him and asked him to upload a photo on Instagram. After an argument, the boys attacked him directly with a weapon. They attacked him on both of his hands, he was hit on the head and kicked and punched. The boy was seriously injured in the attack.

Without stopping to attack, the minors also started terrorizing the area with weapons in their hands. This created tension in the area. Following the complaint of the injured boy, the police have taken immediate action and arrested the three.
