Pune Senior Citizen Woman Murdered in Kalyaninagar, Killer Yet To Be Arrested

Pune, September 27, 2019 : A 67-year-old woman was allegedly murdered in a flat in Kalyaninagar on Thursday, when was alone in the house.
Police have identified the deceased as Chandani Chauhan, a resident of Sunshine Court society in Kalyaninagar.
Based on complaint from Manish Pimputkar (43) of Shivajinagar, an FIR has been been registered with Yerwada police station against unidentified person. The deceased is aunt of complainant’s friend’s wife who live in Mumbai.
According to police, the incident came to light around 10 pm on Thursday. The elderly woman was murdered when she was alone in the flat.
DCP (Zone 4) Prasad Akkanouru told Punekarnews.in , “At present nobody has been arrested. The elderly woman lived alone. We have formed teams to look into various aspects of the case.”
The officials from detection branch of the police station and Crime Branch are further investigating the case.
