Pune: Sex Racket Running From Lodge Busted, Three Including Two Women Arrested
Nigdi 16th Sept 2023: The Crime Branch officials of Pimpri Chinchwad Police have busted a sex racket running from a lodge located in the Thermax Chowk of Nigdi and three accused including two women and an agent have been arrested. A woman who was forced into prostitution by the accused was rescued by the police.
According to the complaint registered with police, the crime branch officials had received information about an alleged sex racket being run from Angan lodge in Nigdi. Accordingly, the police team laid a trap and the agent identified as Avdhoot Chandrasen Lavte (27) and two women involved in the crime were taken into custody.
A case under sections 340 (2) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with sections 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
