Pune: Sharad Mohol Murder Update – Financial Backing Unearthed, Three More Behind Bars

Kothrud, 14th January 2024: In a significant development, the Pune Crime Branch has made three additional arrests in connection with the Sharad Mohol murder case. This brings the total number of arrests to 11 individuals thus far. Investigations have uncovered crucial information indicating that the murder conspiracy had involved three more individuals, shedding light on the financial logistics behind the crime.

 

The prime accused, Sahil alias Munna Polekar, who allegedly orchestrated the murder of Sharad Mohol, is said to have undertaken firearm practice in the Hadshi area of Mulshi before the incident. Nitin Khaire, one of the newly arrested individuals, was reportedly present during this practice session. The investigation has further revealed that Khaire played a role in providing financial support for the execution of Mohol’s murder.

 

Aditya Gole, another name implicated in the case, is alleged to have provided funds to Polekar and his associates for the purchase of pistols. The chilling incident took place in broad daylight on January 5 in the Sutardara area of Kothrud when a firearm was discharged at Sharad Mohol. Polekar, his uncle Namdev Kangude, and other accomplices were swiftly apprehended in connection with the crime, which also involved two lawyers.

 

The ongoing investigation has been thorough, uncovering the intricate details of the murder plot. The arrests so far indicate a multi-faceted conspiracy involving financial transactions, weapon procurement, and premeditated planning. The three newly arrested individuals, including Aditya Gole and Nitin Khaire, are set to be presented in court by the Crime Branch.
