Pune: Shashank Gadre Shines at Junior Golf Championship 2025; Young Talents Emerge Nationwide

Yerawada, 14th October 2025: The prestigious Junior Golf Championship 2025, organized by the Indian Golf Union (IGU), witnessed an exceptional display of talent, sportsmanship, and precision from promising young golfers across the nation. Held at the scenic Poona Golf Course, Yerawada, the event saw participation from numerous national-level junior players competing across three tightly contested age categories.

In the Category A (Age 15–17) division, Shashank Gadre delivered a stellar performance to claim the Champion’s title, asserting his dominance and composure under pressure.

The Category B (Age 13–15) tournament was just as competitive, where Danish Verma from Punjab emerged as the Champion, while Sakhsit Purandare from Delhi took the runner-up position. Jaibir Singh Kang from Haryana secured the third spot with a strong finish.

The youngest talents competed in the Category C (Age 11–13) group. Sohrab Singh Talwar from Punjab was declared runner-up, followed closely by Maharashtra’s Vihan Gaju, who earned the third position. This group drew admiration for their skill, with many spectators noting the fierce competition and maturity displayed by the juniors.

In the Junior Golf League A groupNell Jolly from Chandigarh earned a commendable second place, while Harijal Milkha Singh, also from Chandigarh, stood third, marking the city’s strong presence in the league.

The event concluded with a grand felicitation ceremony, where winners and participants were honored by Golf Club Advisor, Ikram Khan, who commended the young golfers and shared an inspiring message:
