Pune: Shivrampanta Damle award for Chandu Borde
Pune, 28th August 2023 : This year’s Shivrampanta Damle Award for outstanding contribution to the field of sports will be given to veteran cricketer Chandu Borde. Instituted by the Maharashtriya Mandal, the award is in the form of Rs.25000/- cash and a Trophy and is given to the individuals who make enormous contributions to the sectors like sports, education and social work.
The award will be presented on September 3rd at 10:30am during a function to be held at Sakal Lalit Kalaghar, Mukund Nagar Pune. Well-known industrialist, Founder – Chairman of Praj Industries Dr. Pramod Chaudhari would be the Chief Guest for the function. This was announced by Rohan Damle, General Secretary of Maharashtriya Mandal.
This is the 26th edition of this award. Some of the earlier recipients of this prestigious award include Yogacharya B. K. S Iyengar, Hind Kesari Ganpatrao Andalkar, Coach Gurbans Kaur, Grand Master Abhijit Kunte, Bhishmaraj Bam and so on.
