Pune: Shivshahi Bus Caught Fire At Yerwada; All 42 Passengers Safe, No Casualties Reported

Yerwada, 1st November 2022: A Shivshahi bus suddenly caught fire at around 11.30 am today (November 1) morning when it was parked in Yerwada area of ​​Pune. Fortunately, all 42 passengers were safely rescued as they got out in time.

 

Shivshahi Bus (MH 06 DW 0317) was on its way to Pune from Yavatmal on Monday (October 31) night. When the bus was travelling from Yavatmal-Aurangabad-Pune, near Galande Hospital in the Shastrinagar area of ​​Yerwada, around 11.30 on Tuesday morning, smoke suddenly started coming from the bus. Therefore, the driver of the bus headed towards Shivajinagar bus station took it to the side of the road and asked the passengers to get down from the bus. However, suddenly the bus caught fire, creating panic among the passengers.

 

 

Firefighters rushed to the spot immediately. They threw water on the burning Shivshahi bus and put out the fire. After that, the fire brigade personnel ensured that the fire in the bus was completely extinguished.

 

Chief Fire Officer Devendra Potphode informed that two fire engines and one water tanker brought the fire under control by the fire brigade.

 

Ever since the bus started from Yavatmal, it was being brought slowly towards Pune as the engine of the car was continuously running hot. But when the bus arrived Pune, it caught fire. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. The Yerwada police station is conducting further investigation in this regard.
