Pune: Shweta Vaidya of Kaveri College wins gold medal in MCom exam

Pune, 5th August 2022: Shweta Vaidya, a student of the Department of Commerce, Kaveri College of Arts, Sciences and Commerce, Pune achieved ‘Dr.P.C Shejwalkar Amrit Mahotsav Gold Medal’ by topping her MCom examination conducted by the Savitribai Phule Pune University. Like Vaidya, other students of the college have also achieved success by excelling in academics and sports.

 

Five students of the college have been placed in the University Merit List in the Master of Commerce (MCom) course, while four students have secured place in the merit list in various subjects.

 

The students who are ranked in the University merit category include Shweta Vaidya (First Rank), Pranav Rajadyna (Second Rank), Shubhankar Joshi (Third Rank), Varad Nilakhe (Fourth Rank) and Rama Kulkarni (Fifth Rank).

 

The students who got place in the subject wise merit list in the subject of Advance Accounting and Taxation include Shweta Vaidya (First Rank), Shubhankar Joshi (Second Rank), Varad Nilakhe (Fourth Rank), Rama Kulkarni (Fifth Rank), Sana Apte (Eight Rank) and Apurwa Riswadkar (Ninth Rank).

 

The students who scored in the subject of Advance Costing Specialization include Pranav Rajadyna (First Rank) and Oshin Raje (Second Rank) and in Business Administration Girija Kulkarni (Third Rank).

 

In addition, seven students of the college have cleared the Chartered Accountant exam in their first attempt. These students include Sudharm Phatak, Shubhankar Joshi, Mallika Karmarkar, Anurag Daga, Shweta Pawar, Aavishkar Alpe and Prathamesh Bidkar. Shweta Vaidya also passed her C.S. (Final) examination.

 

The students of the college have also performed well in the field of sports. Three students of the college participated in the Khelo India national competition. In this, Sachet Panninath won a bronze medal in rifle shooting, while Mallika Karmarkar and Arjun Karmarkar participated in lawn tennis competition.

 

Apart from these four students of the college- Gayatri Dhamale (Khokho), Bobby Balu (Squash), Abhishekh Mehendale (Powerlifting) and Ashish Francis (Squash) performed remarkably well in university level sports.

 

The meritorious students, their parents and teachers who achieved brilliant success in various fields were felicitated by Ashok Geminis, industry expert and CMA Abhay Deodhar.

 

Members of Kannada Kushal Sangh including Kushal Hegde, President, Malati Kalmadi, Secretary, and Ashok Agarwal, Principal, Kaveri College appreciated all the students for their achievements.
