Pune: Sindh Cooperative Housing Society Aundh Felicitates Pune Police Officers For Arresting Dacoits
Aundh, 30th June 2021: Members of Sindh Cooperative Housing Society Aundh today felicitated Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta and his team for their outstanding work for having nabbed the gang of dacoits who had looted the house of a senior citizen in the society on 23 April at knifepoint.
DCP (Zone 4) Pankaj Deshmukh, ACP (Khadki division) Ramesh Galande, Senior Police Inspector Rajkumar Waghchoure and Inspector Mohandas Jadhav of Chaturshrungi police station, were also feted by the society.
Lots of accolades and appreciation was expressed by society members for the police team which cracked the case and recovered the complete amount, jewellery that was stolen.
Col Vikram Advani (retd), who is the management committee member responsible for the security portfolio, complimented the police commissioner.
“The swift and surgical action of apprehending the dacoits in record time has not only restored the confidence of our members but also the citizens of Pune. By booking the culprits under the stringent, Maharashtra Control Of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) the police commissioner has set an exemplary deterrence for such criminals”, Col Advani said.
A small memento in recognition of their outstanding work was presented to the commissioner on behalf of the members of the society by SK Jain, a senior society member and former president of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA).
