Pune: SIR Enumeration Form Submission Deadline Extended Till August 8; ECI Issues Revised Electoral Roll Schedule
Pune, 30th July 2026: The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the deadline for submitting Enumeration Forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to August 8, 2026.
Voters can submit the form offline through their respective Booth Level Officers (BLOs) or online via the ECI’s voter portal. Officials have urged voters facing any difficulty to immediately contact their BLO for assistance.
Bhandare cautioned that voters who fail to submit the Enumeration Form within the extended deadline will not be included in the draft electoral roll. He urged eligible citizens to avoid waiting until the last date and complete the process at the earliest.
Separately, the ECI has also announced a revised schedule for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls across Maharashtra after heavy rainfall disrupted revision work in parts of the state, including Konkan and Mumbai.
Under the revised timetable, BLOs will conduct house-to-house verification until August 8, while the rationalisation and reorganisation of polling stations will also be completed by the same date. The draft electoral roll will be published on August 17.
Claims and objections will be accepted from August 17 to September 16, while hearings and disposal of applications will continue until October 15. The final electoral roll will be published on October 19, 2026.
Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi said many voter records contain incomplete or abbreviated addresses, making verification difficult for BLOs. He urged such voters to proactively contact their respective BLOs to facilitate faster distribution and verification of Enumeration Forms.
Citizens can obtain the name and contact details of their BLO through the Pune District Collectorate’s official website, pune.gov.in.
