Pune: Smart Signalling Likely To Be Commissioned For Traffic Management In Next 15 Days
Pune 20th July 2023: The Pune Smart City Development Corporation Ltd (PSCDCL) is likely to commission Smart Signalling to manage tha traffic situation in the city under Adaptive Traffic Management System (ATMS). This is likely to be implemented in the next 15 days.
The system is likely to ease the traffic chaos in the city as it will operate based on the real-time data and the traffic signals will be synchronised accordingly. The officials will soon complete the installation of equipment at 95 traffic junctions across the city and it is likely to be commissioned in the next two weeks.
The system has been already installed at over 70 junctions and the integration process is underway, said officials. The Pune Municipal Corporation is spending Rs 58 Crore for this project and it will be commissioned in two phases including installation of system at 125 junctions in the first phase and 261 junctions in the second phase.
