Pune: SPPU Celebrates 228th Birth Anniversary Of Adya Krantiguru Lahuji Vastad Salve

Pune, 2nd December 2022: The 228th birth anniversary program of Adya Krantiguru Lahuji Vastad Salve was held at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr Karbhari Kale, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr Sanjeev Sonawane, and Registrar, Dr Prafulla Pawar, were present on this occasion.

 

This is the 228th birth anniversary year of Adya Krantiguru Lahuji Vastad Salve. On this occasion, various programs are organized across Maharashtra. The birth anniversary of Krantiguru Lahuji Vastad Salve was celebrated jointly by Savitribai Phule Pune University and Matang Vikas Sanstha. This is the 10th year of celebrating the birth anniversary of “Krantiguru Lahuji Vastad Salve” at the university. Rajeshji Rajge, Founder and Chairman of Matang Vikas Sanstha, uniquely celebrated the birth anniversary by felicitating various dignitaries.

In this program, various dignitaries, including Dr Vilas Adhav, Head of the Department of Economics, Director of Lifelong Learning and Extension Department and Member of Senate; Dr Devidas Waydande, Principal and Senate Member; Dr Satish Naik, Deccan College; and Dr Vijayakumar Rode, Head of Hindi Department were honoured and felicitated.

 

President of the program, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjeev Sonawane, stated that Krantiguru Lahuji Vastad Salve is a source of inspiration for political revolution and contributed to social revolution. Various dignitaries praised the work and achievements of Lahuji Vastad Salve. “Lahuji Vastad Salve is the real source of inspiration for patriotism and the country’s liberation struggle. In a real sense, he is our hero, and he has produced many revolutionaries and has motivated people to sacrifice their freedom for the country. At the same time, Lahuji Vastad Salve contributed greatly to Phule’s educational work as a protector of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule and worked to create a support system for their work,” dignitaries said.

 

 

Prof. Vinod Suryavanshi introduced and moderated the program, and Dr Manik Sonawane proposed the vote of thanks.
