While approving the syllabus, the subject was not discussed in the important authority bodies like Vidyashakha and Vidya Parishad consisting of relevant subject experts. It is not clear which of the objectives enunciated by the Maharashtra Legislature at the time of the establishment of the University is achieved by this course of study. However, there is doubt whether this certificate is based on any prior research or scientific criteria and whether this course is organized and taught scientifically.

It is not clear what solid scientific evidence establishes that completing such a course brings definite peace of mind and personality development. The brochure for the course also made distinctions. It is not right that such statements are promoting inequality in society and spreading superstitions in the name of the university; it is trying to gain social recognition, the statement said. Also, it was demanded to inquire about these issues through experts and make them public and suspend the course until the inquiry is completed.
