Pune: Stray dog killed by a rod in Dattawadi, criminal case filed against one

Dattawadi, 9th November 2021: A stray dog named Rani was killed in the Dattawadi area of the city on Monday morning.
Bharti Ashok Sanluke (52) of Dattawadi has lodged a complaint against Amol Khedkar, a resident of Dattawadi.
Accordingly, an FIR has been registered by Dattawadi police station under Pune City police.
According to the police, Rani was in the Jai Maharashtra Mitramandal area of Dattawadi for the last 9 to 10 years. On Monday, Amol Khedkar killed the dog by hitting her on the head with an iron bar. He has been charged under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
