This resulted in the less number of buses on the city road for the second consecutive day.

However, the PMPML officials have said that the striked had no impact on commuters service in the city as maximum buses were deployed on the city roads. The PMPML employees were called back to duty and their leaves were cancelled to manage the crisis, said officials. The PMPML’s drivers were given duty on the buses run by contractors to ensure that the required number of buses run on city roads and commuters are not inconvenienced.
