Pune: Student Drowns In Indrayani River In Maval, Search For Another Missing Student On
Maval 25the August 2023: A tragic incident unfolded on Thursday morning in Maval, as two students who had gone to Kundmala with friends drowned in the Indrayani river. The incident was reported at around 10:30 am and the rescue teams have managed to recover a dead body of one student while search for the other student was still on.
According to officials, a total of 8 students from Gendibai Tarachand Chopda College of Chinchwad had gone to Kundmala. Four of them entered the water while two started drowning. The other students immediately rushed to inform the locals and the police were informed about the incident.
Rescue teams including local organisations such as Shivdurga Mitra Mandal and Vanya Jeev Rakshak Maval conducted a search to find missing students and they managed to recover a dead body of one Aniket Verma. However, the rescue teams stopped searching after 7 pm and the other missing student was yet to be found. The search operation began on Friday to find the missing student.
