Pune, 17th February 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has initiated the installation of flow meters in various areas and will be repairing a 1000 mm rising mainline that has been leaking from Chandni Chowk centre to Warje centre.

As a result, water supply to Warje, Kothrud, and the campus areas will be temporarily shut down on Monday.

The shutdown will affect several areas, including Baner-Pashan Link Road, Ganraj Chowk, Baner Hill, Sadanand Chowk, and more. Other areas affected include Bavdhan Complex, Chintamani Society, Guruganesh Nagar, Suraj Nagar, and Sagar Colony. Additionally, water supply will be shut down in Sus Road, Baner, Balewadi, and Atulnagar Complex.

The PMC has advised residents in the affected areas to store enough water for their daily needs and cooperate with the corporation during the shutdown. The corporation has assured that water supply will be restored as soon as the repair work is completed.

The installation of flow meters is a part of the PMC’s efforts to ensure efficient water supply to residents in the city. These meters will help to monitor the amount of water supplied to different areas, thus enabling the corporation to identify and address issues such as water leakage and wastage.
