Pune: Students showcase exceptional skills and knowledge at economics exhibition
Pune, 18th April 2023: Dr. D. Y Patil Arts, Commerce and Science College, Pimpri organized an exhibition on economics on the 12th of April, 2023. The exhibition saw a total of 120 models on various subjects of economics presented by students of commerce and arts. Additionally, over 60 charts covering diverse aspects of economics were displayed.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Vilas Adhav, Head, Department of Economics, SPPU, Pune and CA Dr M S Jadhav. Other distinguished guests included the principals of sister concern colleges – Dr D. Y Patil Law College, Pimpri, and Dr D. Y Patil Arts, Commerce and Science Women’s College, Pimpri, Pune.
Dr. Manasi Kurtkoti, Head of the Economics Department, extended a warm welcome to all the guests. The exhibition was attended by more than 500 students from various colleges. Four colleges also came with their staff and students to witness the unique contributions of the students.
The guests shared their valuable thoughts on the students’ preparations and scope for improvement. Dr. Ranjit Patil, Principal of the college, proposed the vote of thanks. The exhibition was assisted by faculties, namely Ms. Dhanashree Bhujbal and Dr. Madhuri Vartale.
The exhibition on economics aimed to provide students with a platform to showcase their talent and knowledge on the subject. Such exhibitions help in promoting economic education and creating a deeper understanding of economics among students. The event ended with the national anthem at 4.00pm.
Overall, the exhibition proved to be a great success, and the students displayed exceptional skills and knowledge in economics. The event not only helped the students gain valuable insights but also provided a forum for them to interact with esteemed guests and peers.
